First, enable Developer or Recovery Mode on your Chromebook

To play Fortnite on your Chromebook, you need to install an APK in the operating system. But the problem is that the Chromebooks current security batch doesn’t let you download files from external sources. The solution to this problem is to turn on the developer mode, which will notably erase all your accounts data.

  1. First, turn off your Chromebook.
  2. Hold the Esc and refresh key to boot your computer into recovery mode while pressing the power button.
  3. Some Chromebooks have a recovery button inside a little hole on either side, which you can access with anything thin, like a pin.
  4. You will be asked to insert a recovery media, press Ctrl + D.
  5. You have done it; your Chromebook will boot in a few minutes.

Now set your Chromebook for Fortnite.

  1. Open your Chromebook settings. Click on the bottom right section displaying Time and battery information to open settings.

  2. Open fornite.com/android.
  3. Select the file compatible with your PC.
  4. Download and install the beta that you want.
  5. If you face any problems, you can also use your android mobile to download the APK file, which you can later transfer to Chromebook.
